This man is really great!!!

JESUS had no servants, yet they called Him MASTER;
Had no degree, yet they called Him TEACHER;
Had no medicines, yet they referred to Him as HEALER;
He had no army and yet Kings feared Him;
He won no military battles, yet He CONQUERED the world;
He was burried in the tomb, and yet He lives Today and Forever.
I feel honoured to serve such a LEADER who loves us!
and HE IS ALREADY and ALWAYS HERE WITH US!!

Simple thanksgiving prayer

Thank You, Lord! God, I know you listen.
When I pray to You each night I know You'll answer in your time.
I know You'll make things right I just want to thank You, Lord For all the things You do.
I know You're busy keeping up with all those who pray to You.
So I'll try to keep this simple, Lord I just wanted You to know that I appreciate all You do.
I know it doesn't always show I know sometimes I let life's rush affect the way I live.
I let the pressure influence me.
At times I take when I should give.
Sometimes I forget to take the time to see the miracles that You do.
I fail to notice the little things.
I apologize to You.
I'll try hard to remember, Lord To thank You when I pray for all the wonders of Your world,
and for giving me each new day.
Thank You, Lord!
Amen.

Inspiration thoughts...

"True happiness... is not attained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."~ Helen Keller

"The genius of life is to carry the spirit of childhood into old age."~ Aldous Huxley

"The block of granite which was an obstacle in the pathway of the weak becomes a stepping-stone in the pathway of the strong.
That block of granite is often nothing more than a decision."~ Thomas Carlyle

"God wisely designed the human body so that we can neither pat our own backs nor kick ourselves too easily."

"The capacity to rise above temptation is the essence of freedom.
One is simply not free to serve, to do the right, when one gives in to the temptation to stay in power; that is, when it becomes a compulsion to do whatever is most popular."~ M. Scott Peck

"It is strange that in our praying we seldom ask for a change in character, but always a change in circumstances."

"Good manners are made up of small sacrifices."

"Little progress can be made by merely attempting to repress what is evil; our great hope lies in developing what is good."~ Calvin Coolidge

"Lord, when we are wrong, make us willing to change. And when we are right, make us easy to live with."

"The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.”

Always remember...

Always remember to forget the things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember the things that made you glad.

Always remember to forget the friends that proved untrue.
But don't forget to remember those that have stuck by you.
Always remember to forget the troubles that have passed away.
But never forget to remember the blessings that come each day.

Count your blessings, not your troubles, and you'll make it through what comes along.
Within you are so many answers, Understand, have courage, be strong.

Don't put limits on yourself, your dreams are waiting to be realized.
Don't leave your important decisions to chance - Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize.

Nothing wastes more energy than worrying - the longer a problem is carried, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously - Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.

Remember that a little love goes a long way - Remember that a lot goes forever. Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people... together.

Have health and hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish on a star, and don't ever forget for even a day... How very special YOU are!
Thank you for being a faithful friend who listens
and whom I can share my dreams, joys, sorrows and my STORY OF LIFE.
DEAR FRIEND

To whom I have shared my most secret thoughts,
To whom I have shared my most treasured dreams,
To whom I deem above most everything to be one of the greatest assets in my life,

To the one who has celebrated with me my family's triumphs,
From the birth of my children to their first day of school,
From my late-night study sessions to my college graduation,
From that broken-down apartment to my first home purchase,

From the day we met to the day our lives changed,
And that fork in the road took us our separate ways
Somehow I knew that I would always have a friend in you.
I thank the Lord everyday for sending such a precious gift my way;
For you I treasure more than gold.
For it is you I want to always know.

I love you!
Thank you for being you!

Heartprints

Whatever our hands touch -We leave fingerprints! On walls, on furniture, on doorknobs, dishes, books.
There's no escape. As we touch we leave our identity.

Wherever I go today, Help me leave heartprints! Heartprints of compassion, of understanding and love.
Heartprints of kindness and genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor, or a runaway daughter, or an anxious mother, or perhaps an aged grandfather.

Send me out today to leave heartprints, and if someone should say, "I felt your touch, "May they also sense the love that is deep within my heart.

Reflective Sayings

"Each night when I go to sleep I die, and every morning as I wake up, I am reborn again"
*
Never ask for a SMILE; just give it: Never expect LOVE from others; just Love them.
**
"The mind thinks, the heart feels, the Soul knows.”
***
If you have a heart that obeys your mind, you can win the whole world....
If you have a mind that obeys your heart you can win the love of so many heart....
****
You have to be able to identify what you really love and what you really want before you get it.”
*****
Birth was not our choice; Death will not be our choice
But the way we live our life is our choice.
Absolutely our choice
Live to the fullest for today.

******

We need an outflow in order to get an inflow.

*******

Some messages come our way:

"Being busy is a sign of our liveliness. Being busy for something so interesting, for oneself is a good self motivation. Being busy for others especially the needy is a sign of divine revelation".

********

Don’t quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will; When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,When care is pressing you down a bit,Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life seems queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than, It seems to a faint and faltering man, Often the struggler has given up, When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down, How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far, So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--It's when things seem worst that you must not quit. It is then that we are encouraged more to be patient and to sanctify everything turning it into prayer.

Appreciating what is...

Too often we don't realize what we have until it is gone.
Too often we wait too late to say "I'm sorry - I was wrong."
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones we hold dearest to our hearts; And we allow foolish things to tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let unimportant things into our minds; And then it's usually too late to see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know how much they mean to you.
Take that time to say the words before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate everything you've got and be thankful for the Little things in life that mean a lot.

Don't look Back!

When you finally make up your Mind, that you are going to do Something; 'Forge ahead, and don't look Back!

Stick with whatever, you've Planned. Don"t give any thoughts, to Regrets, Or feelings of the Past; For time, does not go Backwards!

After discerning, decide once and for All, that you are moving Ahead! Don't let anyone make you feel Guilty, as they will surely Try;
But, it's "Your Life", So, don't let it pass you By!

Take that Chance, that you've wanted so Bad; Before you reach the end of the Line,
Time stands still, for no One!
Don't look back, move ahead with trust and confidence in yourself, in others and in God.

Spiritual Reflections

THE WILL OF GOD
The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you, Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the Spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you, Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you, Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

"Everything happens for a purpose. We may not see the wisdom of it all now but trust and believe in the Lord that everything is for the best."

The way to be anxious about nothing is to be prayerful about everything.

I begin today

Beginning today, I will no longer worry about yesterday. It is in the past and the past will never change. Only I can change by choosing to do so.
Beginning today, I will no longer worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will always be there, waiting for me to make the most of it. But I cannot make the most of tomorrow without first making the most of today.
Beginning today, I will look in the mirror and I will see a person worthy of my respect and admiration. This capable person looking back at me is someone I enjoy spending time with and someone I would like to get to know better.
Beginning today, I will cherish each moment of my life. I value this gift bestowed upon me in this world and I will unselfishly share this gift with others. I will use this gift to enhance the lives of others.
Beginning today, I will take a moment to step off the beaten path and to revel in the mysteries I encounter. I will face challenges with courage and determination. I will overcome what barriers there may be which hinder my quest for growth and self-improvement.
Beginning today, I will take life one day at a time, one step at a time. Discouragement will not be allowed to taint my positive self-image, my desire to succeed or my capacity to love.
Beginning today, I walk with renewed faith in human kindness. Regardless of what has gone before, I believe there is hope for a brighter and better future.
Beginning today, I will open my mind and my heart. I will welcome new experiences.I will meet new people. I will not expect perfection from myself nor anyone else: perfection does not exist in an imperfect world. But I will applaud the attempt to overcome human foibles.
Beginning today, I am responsible for my own happiness and I will do things that make me happy admire the beautiful wonders of nature, listen to my favorite music, pet a kitten or a puppy, soak in a bubble bath pleasure can be found in the most simple of gestures.
Beginning today, I will learn something new; I will try something different; I will savor all the variousflavors life has to offer. I will change what I can and the rest I will let go. I will strive to become the best me I can possibly be.
Beginning today...Everyday ...Every moment...Now.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to
change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to
peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I
may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the
next. Amen.

No hurry in life and with life

Slow but sure!!

Our lives are made up of a million moments, spent in a million different ways. Some are spent searching for love, peace, and harmony. Others are spent surviving day by day.

But there is no greater moment than when we find that life, with all it's joys and sorrows, is meant to be lived one day at a time. It's in this knowledge that we discover the most wonderful truth of all.

Whether we live in a forty-room mansion, surrounded by servants and wealth, or find it a struggle to manage the rent month to month, we have it within our power to be fully satisfied and live a life with true meaning.

One day at a time - we have that ability, through cherishing each moment and rejoicing in each dream. We can experience each day anew, and with this fresh start we have what it takes to make all our dreams come true.
Each day is new, and living one day at a time enables us to truly enjoy life and live it to the fullest.

The target of friendship ...

Martin Luther King said
“If you cannot fly, run. If you cannot run then walk. If you cannot walk, then crawl.
By all means just keep moving toward the goal.
Do you know the relationship between your two eyes? They blink together, they move together, they cry together, they see things together and they sleep together, EVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER SEE EACH OTHER...
Friendship should be just like that!!!
Your aspiration is your motivation, your motivation is your belief, your belief is your peace, your peace is your target, your target is heaven. Life is like hell without FRIENDS.

Experience speaking...!

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.
I've learned that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.
I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.
I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.
I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place. (Amen to that!)
I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice.
I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.
I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned that I'm getting more and more like my grandma, and I'm kinda happy about it.
I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned that you should never tell a child her dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if she believed it
I've learned that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.
I've learned that no matter how good a friend someone is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to.
I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.
I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I've learned that if you don't want to forget something, stick it in your underwear drawer.
I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I've learned that the clothes I like best are the ones with the most holes in them.
I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
I've learned that there are many ways of falling and staying in love.
I've learned that no matter the consequences, those who are honest with themselves, get farther in life.
I've learned that many things can be powered by the mind, the trick is self-control.
I've learned that no matter how many friends you have, if you are their pillar, you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most.
I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.
I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.
I've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that is offered to us.
I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.
I've learned that although the word "love" can have many different meaning, it loses value when overly used.
I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.

Hold your head high

Standing for what you believe in regardless of the odds against you, and the pressure that tears at your resistance ...is Courage.
Keeping a smile on your face when inside you feel like dying, for the sake of supporting others ...is Strength.
Stopping at nothing and doing what's in your heart that you know is right ...is Determination.
Doing more than is expected, to make another's life a little more bearable, without uttering a single complaint ...is Compassion.
Helping a friend in need, no matter the time or effort, to the best of your ability ...is Loyalty.
Holding your head high And being the best you know you can be when life seems to fall apart at your feet, Facing each difficulty with the confidence that time will bring you better tomorrows, And never giving up... ...is Confidence.
Hold your head high and make your life better every day!

Golden Silence

Sometimes silence is the sweetest song of all
When you go inside yourself, understand why you fall
What has happened to make you what you are
Count your blessings and wish upon a star
How to be better, not make the same mistakes again
Know who your demons are and how to hold onto a friend
How to do the right thing, and know love from lust
Hold onto a higher power, hold onto those you trust
Know when to bow your head and fall to your knees
When to stand tall and hold onto your beliefs
And sometimes let a dream go, to find that sweet release
And in that golden silence, God will grant you peace.

Some of Wanjala's reflections about life

ITS ME...!!

Someone is boring me? I think it is me.

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.

I shut my eyes in order to see.

Self confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings.

Silence is one of the hardest arguments to refute.

I do not love because the other is beautiful/ handsome but rather, the other is beautiful/ handscome because I love him/ her.

Deeds not only words shall speak me.

Be cool when you need to take a tough decision in your life.

Failure is an event and not a person.

If we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.

REFLECTION SPEAKING...

Sit in silence for some minutes concentrating on a particular reflection each day.

When you wake up in the morning, complete the following statement: "MY PURPOSE is to..................................................................... today."

Live with 3E's i.e. Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy and 3F's i.e. Faith, Family and Friends.

Dream more while you are awake.

Try to make atleast 3 people smile.

Remember that life is a school and you are here to learn, pass all your tests, problems are simply part of the curriculum that appears and fades away like the algebra class, but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

Smile and laugh more; it will keep the energy vampires away.

Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

Make peace with your past, so it won't mess up the present.

Do not ever do something that will make you unhappy.

Don't compare your life to others; you have no idea what their journey is all about.

You are an original copy and a unique person with your own way unique way of doing things, thinking and your own way of being.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

Be responsible for others, but more with yourself.

Forgive everyone for everything.

What other people think of you is none of your bussiness. Your good intention is enough.

Time and openness heals almost everything. Give time time.

Do not project the things that are or that are not. I am the projector, the determinant, the driver of my life.

If you think you can, you can. If you think you cannot, you are right (that you cannot).

However good or bad a situation is, it will change. Your job won't take care you when you don't feel fine; your friends will. Stay in touch.

Get rid of everything that isn't useful on your journey of life.

The best is already here now and yet to come; don't be distracted - keep focused towards the good.

Do the right thing with all your convinction - your heart, mind and body. Get involved.

Call your family and your friends often.

Each time before you god bed, complete the following statement: "I AM THANKFUL TO GOD FOR.................................." Today, I ACCOMPLISHED....................................

Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed; enjoy the ride and the journey.

DON'T LET GO OF HOPE

Hope gives you the strength to keep going when you feel like giving up.

Don't ever quit believing in yourself.

As long as you believe you can, you will have a reason for trying.

Don't let anyone hold your happiness in their hands; hold it in your own, so it will always be within your reach.

Don't measure success or failure bymaterial wealth, but by how you feel.

Our feelings determine the riches in our lives.

Don't let bad moments overcome you.

Be patient, and they will pass.

Don't hesitate to reach out for help; we allneed it from time to time.

Don't run away from Love, but towards love; because it is our deepest joy.

Don't wait for what you want to come to you.

Go after it with all that you are; knowing that life will meet you half way.

Don't feel like you've lost when plans and dreams fall short of your hopes.

Anytime you learn something new about yourself, or about life, you have progressed.

Don't do anything that takes away from your self-respect.

Feeling good about yourself is essential to feeling good about life.

Don't ever forget how to laugh or be tooproud to cry.

It is by doing both that we livelife to the fullest.

PEACE WITHIN...

May today there be peace within you.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing that you are a child of God.

Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, to dance, and to bask in His Son.

He is there for each and every one of you.

STEP BY STEP...

Our lives are made up of a million moments, spent in a million different ways. Some are spent searching for love, peace, and harmony. Others are spent surviving day by day.

But there is no greater moment than when we find that life, with all it's joys and sorrows, is meant to be lived one day at a time.

Sharing some aspects of the story of my life

Life becomes more meaningful if it is shared with oneself, with others and with God... Humans as we are, each one is endowed with the treasure of the mind. My dream since childhood has always been that of opening my mind to an inquiry of my inner self as well as whatever surrounds me – others call it reality.Every year, each month, weekly, everyday, each hour, every minute, every second, every moment…, I always plan, evaluate...Humans as we are, each one is endowed with the treasure of the mind.
My dream since childhood has always been that of opening my mind to an inquiry of my inner self as well as whatever surrounds me – others call it reality.Every year, each month, weekly, everyday, each hour, every minute, every second, every moment…, I always plan, evaluate and challenge myself on how to progress in life in a meaningful manner. Oftentimes, I have thought of acknowledging, appreciating and befriending whatever exists so that “this reality” can in turn take care of me. But I need to know what exists! I need to search for “this reality!” Consequently, I find aspects such as getting directly inserted into creation, reading materials like books, listening and playing music…, keeping me not only going but rather journeying with a “desire” and a “taste” of meaning in life. My little experience tells me that the more I attempt to know reality, the more reality enfolds and reveals itself to me. We only have to put our mind to a good task of questioning always, in view of searching for the ultimate reality, which is our end in life. Each moment, I challenge my mind as to whether I maintain and feed it with things that really matter, rather than excusing myself by keeping the mind inactive!A lot of treasures remains to be discovered. In this respect, I cherish cultivating the good culture of reading myself, reading books, reading creation… I always trust that reading is a help to myself and to others, especially in clarifying the vision and focus in life.
